You will not then be adding something new to a situation that is already frightening to the dog. As I was reading your blog I was wondering about the separation anxiety part because I have seen dogs tear up furniture because of this disorder, then I watched Mollie’s video and it answered my questions. I think this is a great tool to use, my dog has more separation depression then anxiety do you have anything that can help with that? I travel a lot and he gets very depressed.
Whoever invented this must really love animals (especially dogs) to care enough to develop something like this for them. I think this is absolutely wonderful and I can’t wait to try one on my dog, he has a real problem with fireworks. Hopefully if I get it now and start working with him on it by the Fourth of July he won’t have any problems, my biggest problem right now will be making the noise.
Mollie is a very cute dog and she definitely had some issues at the beginning, I watched Mollie’s video and it was truly an amazing transformation. I think this is a great tool to use, my dog doesn’t really have separation anxiety he gets depressed and starts losing weight is there anything that can help with that? Whenever I am away I leave him with my Son but he still gets depressed.
Is the person that invented this a vet by chance? Whoever invented it, you can tell really loves animals to care enough to develop something like this. I really like this product. I first saw it on a TV infomercial. I have been wanting to get this for my friend’s little Maltese toy dog. She tends to get anxiety attacks when she hears loud noises such as thunder and fireworks. I really do hope this type of harness does not turn out to be animal quackery because whenever I am with her dog and it storms, spend much time trying to comfort and distract her.
Wow! I am impressed by the video. After all, seeing is believing. It is comforting for me to see a dog feel less anxiety and more poised and calm. I also think it is a good idea to do like the second segment of the video by leaving a play toys that the dog enjoys. It serves as a calming influence and a distraction for the dog. But it must be an item that the dog enjoys and has a positive mental association with.

Does it just keep them calm because in decreases the blood flow to their brain? I think this is great, and it obviously worked for Mollie. Is there anything that you can do for a dog that gets depressed?
Branden, the way this works is by putting pressure on pressure points that cause a calming sensation during stress. It does not decrease the blood flow to the brain. It acts more like swaddling clothes for an infant, making them feel safe. As for depression, you might need to ask a veterinarian about that.
